CHICAGO — Eight people have been hospitalized, including three correctional officers, after a car crash in Chicago.
At least six ambulances were sent to the scene on Sunday afternoon, according to the Chicago Tribune. Medics transported a child and three adults in serious condition to the hospital.
The other accident victims were in good condition.
Three of the people injured in the accident were Cook County Sheriff’s correctional officers who were all in the same vehicle on their way to a jail for work.
One of the officers is undergoing surgery for a broken leg, and the other two have been released.
