PIKESVILLE, Md. — A paramedic and another woman were arrested after a fight in an apartment.
Police say 35-year-old Shakia Tolson, a paramedic for the Baltimore County Fire Department, allegedly pulled a knife out of her pocket during an argument with her ex-girlfriend, 40-year-old Keha Hayes-Mason, WBALTV reports.
Hayes-Mason went to the kitchen to get a knife, and told investigators she cut herself with the knife she was carrying. Tolson said she asked to leave the apartment and Hayes-Mason began punching her.
Both women suffered minor injuries. They were arrested on assault charges and released on $10,000 bail.
Tolson was suspended without pay from the fire department.
