PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Technology may end up being the undoing of a thief who Pawtucket police say stole an ambulance from a city street early Friday morning.
MedTech Ambulance called police around 4:45 a.m. to report one of their ambulances had been stolen.
According to Maj. Arthur Martins, MedTech employees were able to track the ambulance with the help of an installed GPS and located the vehicle on Carter Avenue, near Orient Avenue. Martins said whoever was driving the vehicle crashed into a fence and a pole, then abandoned it.
