FORT WORTH, Texas — When you have an emergency, all you care about is how fast you can get to the hospital.
But last week, the Fort Worth’s ambulance service Medstar had calls that took them 20 minutes or longer to get on scene.
“There was one last week that it was actually one hour before the ambulance actually got on the scene to not only take care of the patient, but to relieve the fire engine to go out and make additional calls,” said Lt. Kent Worley with the Fort Worth Fire Department.
