WINTER PARK, Fla. — Road Rescue®, part of REV Ambulance Group Orlando – a subsidiary of REV Group, Inc. – will debut a new ambulance model at FDIC International 2023, REV Group announced this week.
The Road Rescue RediMedic™ ambulance will be available in Type 1 and Type 3 configurations and is designed with optimal prehospital care in mind. FDIC visitors will have the opportunity to see a Type 1 Ford F-550 with a 170” mod on display and provide feedback prior to the official release.
In addition to the RediMedic™ ambulance, Road Rescue will also showcase two other rigs at the conference. The Type 1 Road Rescue UltraMedic™ ambulance, courtesy of the Dagsboro (Delaware) Volunteer Fire Company, features:
- A Ford F-550 chassis;
- Crisp graphics;
- An exterior SCBA/bunker gear compartment;
- Spot and flood lights
- A 360-camera system;
- Rub rail lights
- Chevron lights on the back; and
- Per4Max® seat belts.
The Type 3 Road Rescue UltraMedic™ ambulance, courtesy of dealer Everest Emergency Vehicles, is built on a Ford E-450 chassis and boasts:
- Whelen M-Series™ lighting;
- Signature 10” cot lights;
- ComfortBright™ dome lights;
- A Coolbar;
- Drop skirts on the mod for easier crew access/ergonomics; and
- A 10” recessed bulkhead to maximize storage in the cab.
