MANCHESTER, N.H. — Police arrested a man Tuesday after he moved an ambulance that he was stuck behind.
Responders were inside a residence aiding a patient when they heard the “beeping” sound of the ambulance backing up while Matthew Duval, 40, moved it about 20 feet, reported Mass Live.
Responders surrounded the ambulance and waited for Duval to exit; he was then arrested by police.
“He decided to hop into the ambulance and move it himself, which didn’t turn out very well for him, because he was arrested,” Manchester Fire Chief Dan Goonan said. “Can you imagine if we were coming down with someone that was receiving CPR and the ambulance was gone?”
Duval was charged with disorderly conduct for leaving his vehicle running and unattended. His court date is Jan. 18, 2017.
