BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — Michael Corbett keeps good records, and keeps track of what he’s doing daily. He said he was helping veterans April 4th, but an ambulance service is billing him for a ride to the hospital.
“The fire and rescue squad gave me the address where they picked up the person and it’s not my address. I’ve never been there,” said Corbett. Corbett said he’s also getting bills for pathology tests, radiology, and an EKG done at Bethesda Hospital.
“I’m not going to allow them to extort the money from me because they think I was there when I wasn’t,” said Corbett. Corbett spent countless hours on the phone and wrote letters to creditors to get the bills to stop, but the $1,400 problem won’t go away. “We have investigated the nature of this dispute and the amount appears to be valid,” said Corbett reading a bill dispute that he was sent.
