LIVINGSTON, Mont. — A southern Mont. hunter suffered serious burns and injuries after he was shocked when he poked a dead bear.
Officials say Edward Garcia came across the bear’s body over the weekend, which was on top of some live wires. He poked the carcass with a knife and received an electric shock and severe injuries, according to the Associated Press.
Garcia had to walk two miles to find help and was later flown to a burn center in Salt Lake City. He suffered injuries to his torso, head, and hands.
Details on his current condition were not immediately available.
