CHARLESTON, S.C. — A firefighter-paramedic was given an offer he almost couldn’t refuse when an NFL team accidentally announced they had drafted him.
@NFL @RAIDERS I’ll still take a multimillion contract for medical standby for @RAIDERS

Connor Cook, a firefighter-paramedic out of South Carolina, was tagged in a series of tweets by the Oakland Raiders, informing him that he was one of their draft picks. What the Raiders didn’t know, though, was that he shares the same name as Michigan State University quarterback Connor Cook, who the team actually selected.
@NFL @RAIDERS I don’t mean to be bother, but I’m not MSU Connor Cook. I’m firefighter paramedic Cook. Sorry y’all

SBNation reported that Cook embraced the mix-up with humor, and posted a series of tweets in playful jest.
@NFL @RAIDERS hey #RaiderNation the guys at the station are making me do push-ups and wind sprints in anticipation of training camp

Cook even posted a video via Twitter expressing his gratitude and plans for the NFL season.
