Woman on a quest to find off-duty medic who ‘saved her life’ at a diner

CLARKSTON, Mich. - Just over a year ago, a woman was having dinner at a small restaurant in Clarkston when she went into cardiac arrest. Fortunately, a female paramedic was in the restaurant at the time. The woman believes she would have died if the paramedic hadn’t been there. Now, she’s on a mission to find the medic and say thank you.

“She went towards the wall at first, and that’s when I noticed something wasn’t right,” said server Danielle Rafferty.

Terri Elliott was having dinner with her ex-husband when she suddenly went into cardiac arrest. Luckily, a female paramedic was sitting directly behind them. She was having dinner with her family. When she saw what happened, they say she sprang into action and ‘did CPR until the abulance arrived.’
