SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A paramedic was dragged by a vehicle through a grocery store parking lot after responding to a call about a man with a medical condition inside of a car.
WPXI reported that paramedic Shawn Johnson found Dakota Hinchberger in his running car in the parking lot of a Giant Eagle store and made contact with him.
Police said Hinchberger put the car in drive and accelerated, dragging Johnson seven to 10 feet as he held on.
Johnson then threw the gear shifter into park to stop Hinchberger, according to officials.
Police said they found heroin, needles and crack pipes in Hinchberger’s vehicle when he was arrested.
