FORT WORTH, Texas — A medic treating a driver injured in a wreck on a Texas freeway was hit by a truck on Wednesday.
Two MedStar paramedics were responding to a minor accident caused by a patch of ice when a pickup truck hit the same patch of ice and slid into the ambulance, striking one of the paramedics, according to the Star Telegram.
The injured medic was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, while the patient they were originally treating was taken to the hospital by another ambulance.
The ambulance was damaged in the accident, but not severely.
