HOLTS SUMMIT, Mo. — A Callaway County ambulance on an emergency call Tuesday morning caused an emergency of its own that resulted in both property and personal damage.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, the ambulance driver - Michael S. Shrout, 41, of Fulton - failed to put the vehicle in park and the ambulance rolled into the garage of a residence at 601 Brentwood Dr. just outside Holts Summit city limits. The incident happened around 8 a.m.
Shrout received minor injuries trying to jump inside and stop the moving ambulance. He was treated and is expected to recover soon, ambulance officials said.
