COLONIE, N.Y. — A town paramedic charged with felony possession of child pornography last week has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the criminal charges against him, a town spokesman said.
Calvin M. Saylors Jr., 40, a full-time paramedic, was on vacation when State Police raided his Marriner Avenue home and later arrested him. He was released on $25,000 bond but has not been back to work because his vacation was scheduled to last until Feb. 9.
On Wednesday, the town sent Saylors notification of his suspension by certified mail, said spokesman Carl Zeilman.
