HOBOKEN, N.J. — An EMT was stabbed in the stomach Wednesday afternoon while responding to a medical call.
NJ.com reported that the 26-year-old woman was inside a public housing complex building when a man came up from behind and stabbed her.
The EMT, who was on a crew with two other Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps members, was taken to a local hospital, where she is under observation, according to the report.
The 26-year-old EMT was placed in her own ambulance and medics began treating her, according to the report.
It is believed that the initial call for an ambulance may have been a hoax, since the person who requested an ambulance never called for another one, according to the report.
