The Mansfield Ambulance Fund, a four-year-old effort to raise funds from businesses and residents to purchase state-of-the-art ambulances, could get a welcome boost from an unusual source — Hamburger Helper.
Ken Parsons, one of many volunteers who have been instrumental in what has been a successful campaign so far, submitted an application to myHomeTownHelper.com, whose slogan reads, “A little help with dinner, A little help in your town,” sponsors a rolling, once a month donation program specifically designed to fund small municipal projects.
His request is for $15,000 towards the cost of a third ambulance for the town, and his on-line essay notes the Ambulance Fund has raised the funds to purchase one advanced life support ambulance in 2003 and part of a second in 2005 ...
