WASHINGTON — A D.C. paramedic has been injured after she was apparently attacked by a patient being transported in an ambulance Sunday.
D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Alan Etter says the paramedic was assaulted by the patient who was being transported from the 600 block of Edgewood Street, Northeast around 3:30 pm. He says the ambulance had been called to assist the man who was reportedly having seizures.
Etter says the man got very violent on the way to the hospital and beat the paramedic. The paramedic driving the ambulance called police for assistance.
