BRIGHTON, N.Y. — A police officer was injured Thursday after his vehicle was struck by a stolen ambulance.
The unattended ambulance was parked outside the emergency department at a hospital in Brighton, N.Y., when it was taken, according to WHEC.com.
The driver struck several parked vehicles, before colliding with a police car that had been positioned to block the vehicle.
A police officer suffered a back injury and the suspect was subsequently detained.
