3 EMS crew members injured in NJ ambulance crash

Driver of other vehicle also injured but patient was unharmed

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Four people were injured when an ambulance struck another vehicle in Gloucester Township.

Police say the township emergency services ambulance was transporting a patient to a hospital when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Joaquin Martinez exited a driveway and was struck and overturned Thursday.

Police say Martinez and three members of the EMS crew were injured.

The patient was unharmed.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
