LYNDHURST, N.J. — Five people were hurt around 1 p.m. Monday when a car broadsided an ambulance responding to another accident, and the force caused it to rollover onto its side and land on top of a parked car, CBS New York reports.
A third vehicle waiting at a traffic light was also hit by the car.
Two Town of Lyndhurst EMTs were injured, as well as the 25-year-old driver of the car that struck the ambulance, and a 60-year-old and 90-year-old in the car at the light. They were all taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, and official say they suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A cellphone video captured the accident, and shows firefighters and paramedics tending to the five people injured.
