Multiple ambulance crashes in Missouri and Michigan

EMS providers and civilians escaped serious injuries in three different ambulance collisions

Three ambulances were involved in crashes during patient transports and responding to emergency calls Thursday and Friday. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured and the reported injuries were minor.

1. Mo. ambulance rollover
An ambulance overturned Friday morning while transporting a patient. Two EMTs and a patient were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

2. Mo. ambulance T-boned
One member of a Missouri ambulance crew was transported to the hospital Thursday after another vehicle crashed into the ambulance. The ambulance was transporting a patient when an oncoming vehicle swered into its path, T-boned the ambulance and hit a third car. No one was seriously hurt.

3. Mich. ambulance crashes into SUV en route to elementary school
An ambulance collided with an SUV Thursday as the ambulance responded to an elementary school. The ambulance and a police car were heading in the same direction as the SUV which pulled over as the police car passed. The SUV driver did not see the trailing ambulance and turned left, into the path of the oncoming ambulance. As the driver was turning, the ambulance struck the SUV on the driver-side door, leaving both vehicles heavily damaged. The SUV driver was cited for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Two people in the ambulance and the SUV driver were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
