WYOMISSING, Pa. — Seven people were hurt in a crash involving an ambulance and four other vehicles Wednesday night.
WFMZ.com reported that a chain-reaction crash began when the Penn State Health Life Lion ambulance, which was transporting a patient to a hospital, clipped a car attempting to move to the right.
“That vehicle struck a second vehicle,” Wyomissing Police Sgt. John Phillips said. “The ambulance then hit the rear of a third vehicle, which then hit a fourth vehicle.”
A total of seven people, including the patient and two EMS providers, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
