EMT assaulted after patient’s son called 911

The Christmas day attack happened after a boy called 911 to report his mom had taken too much medication

SLATINGTON, Pa. — An EMT was pushed into a wall, causing a knee and wrist injury, by a woman who was reported to have taken too much of her medication.

On Christmas day a boy called 911 believing his mother, Kimberly Kirkpatrick, 44, needed help, reported the Morning Call.

Police found Kirkpatrick having a hard time keeping her balance and then she fell into a wall. The police called for an ambulance.

When Northern Valley EMS arrived police saw Kirkpatrick push the EMT. The boy also told police Kirkpatrick had a marijuana pipe next to her bed.

Kirkpatrick has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
