All nine people inside the bus were taken to nearby hospitals with minor injuries, Lyles said. The driver of the bus had to be rescued through one of the buses’ windows from by Oakland firefighters, he said.

The two people inside the SUV also suffered minor injuries, Lyles added.

It was not immediately clear whether the auto shop was open Tuesday, nor whether anyone was inside when the crash happened.
