TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Munson Healthcare says one of the 11 people injured in a stabbing attack at a Walmart store near Traverse City has been treated and released, while two other victims have been treated and transferred.

In an update provided Monday morning, officials also said two victims have been upgraded to good condition.

Of the remaining victims, five are in fair condition and one is in serious condition, a significant improvement from the hours after the attack when five were listed in critical condition.

The victims range in age from 29 to 84 years old. Police have not publicly identified any of the victims.

“Munson Healthcare’s team of physicians, nurses, surgeons, clinical staff, and support personnel continues to prioritize the care and recovery of those impacted by this tragic event,” Munson said in an earlier update. “Their dedication and compassion reflect the strength and unity of our healthcare community during this challenging time.

“We are also taking steps to ensure our employees have access to emotional and psychological support as they process the events of the past day.

“Our thoughts remain with the victims and their families, and we stand with them as they navigate the days ahead.”

The attack took place around 4:43 p.m. Saturday and lasted for approximately three minutes. The suspect, 42-year-old Bradford Gille , of Afton, Mich . is in custody after bystanders subdued him until police arrived on scene. Gille is expected to be arraigned on charges on Monday or Tuesday. Among the charges expected are 11 counts of attempted murder and one count of terrorism.
