LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. — A paramedic for the Lincoln County Ambulance District was charged Thursday with accessing child pornography videos on his personal computer while at his ambulance base in Winfield and his home, police said.
Brian Carl Schulze, 37, of the 200 block of Excalibur Boulevard in Troy, Mo., was in the Lincoln County Jail with cash bail set at $100,000. He faces two felony counts of possessing child pornography.
Lt. Andy Binder of the county sheriff’s department said Schulze is accused of upoloading 70 videos of pre-teen children in sex acts.
The investigation began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported that someone was uploading the videos to an account that was used at both the ambulance base and Schulze’s home.
The sheriff’s department said Schulze admitted to opening the account and uploading the material. The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed, the department said.
The sheriff’s agency worked with investigators from Troy police and the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit on the case.
