BOSTON — Emergency crews responded to one of Boston’s busiest hospitals Wednesday night to deal with a chemical exposure.
Just before 9 p.m., a hazmat team was requested at Massachusetts General Hospital, according to Boston 25 News. A hospital spokesperson told the outlet that a patient was being treated for exposure to a chemical substance and that the Boston Fire Department’s hazmat team was assisting.

In footage captured by Boston 25 News, several fire trucks with sirens activated could be seen stationed outside the hospital’s entrance.
The hospital remained open to operations and there was “no interruption to patient care,” a hospital spokesperson told NBC10 Boston.
