$200K bond set for Ind. EMT accused of theft

The judge said EMT Craig Whitham was a flight risk and barred him from contacting any members of his former crew

AURORA, Ind. — A former EMT who allegedly stole $106,000 from Aurora (Ind.) Emergency Rescue while serving as treasurer is being held on a $200,000 bond.

The judge for the case said Craig Whitham is a flight risk and issued an order barring him from contacting any members of the Aurora squad, according to the DC Register.

Whitham disappeared in February after being questioned about money missing from the department. He reappeared three weeks later and surrendered to police.

A pre-trial hearing is set for May 10.
