“Emergency!” first debuted in 1972 and followed the Los Angeles County Fire Department members of Squad 51.
The series, backed by many diehard fans, ran for six seasons. Partners Roy DeSoto, played by Kevin Tighe; and John Gage, played by Randolph Mantooth, became heroes on and off-screen.
Many of the original fans will remember sitting down on Saturday nights, watching excitedly as the show incorporated real-world happenings that firefighters and paramedics dealt with every day.
