Bioquell unveils an automated solution to fully eliminate pathogens, including Ebola and MERS.
Horsham, PA (September 2015) – With the BQ-EMS system, Bioquell has developed a new fully automated technology for decontaminating EMS vehicles in less than an hour. The BQ-EMS eliminates dangerous pathogens entirely from within a vehicle, creating a sterile environment. Using Bioquell’s Hydrogen Peroxide (HP) Vapor process, every exposed area within the rig is fully decontaminated. This includes materials on shelves, stretchers, sensitive electronics, and more. This technology will be on display at booth 243 of the EMS World Expo in Las Vegas, September 17-19.
The BQ-EMS system is simple to use, light-weight, portable and backed by Bioquell’s 15 years of world-wide experience as a decontamination leader. With the push of a single button, a 35% hydrogen peroxide solution is dispersed as HP Vapor in to the rig. Every nook and cranny is decontaminated, even the driver and passenger areas, in less than 60 minutes. Being a fully automated process saves several man-hours typically spent disinfecting a rig, and removes the element of human error. It can even have an impact on morale as the team will be relieved of additional cleaning responsibilities, and be safer.
