Watch: Fire and rescue department’s humorous when to call 911 PSA

The Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Department is back with another video to teach residents about when they should call 911 to report a true emergency

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Firefighters in Alabama take a humorous approach to teaching residents about when to call 911.

AL.com reported that the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Department, known for their hilarious ‘Pull to the Right’ PSA videos (and the original), is at it again with a video to remind residents to not call 911 for non-emergencies.

“What we try to do is make sure that, number one, when people call 911 (they know) we are going to send somebody, and we want them to call 911 if they have an emergency,” Fire Chief Alan Martin said.

If they have a non-emergency, residents should call a non-emergency number and expect appropriate response, he added.

Their newest video, which shows a series of problems that are not appropriate for 911, features Lt. George Harbin in all of the roles.

“He is a little bit of a ham,” Chief Martin said.
