TUSCALOOSA, AL - Guardian Emergency Vehicles recently delivered a Guardian Gladiator Type II van ambulance to NorthStar Emergency Medical Services in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The vehicle was one of 10 ordered from Guardian by NorthStar EMS in 2007.
Founded in 1992 by Tony Smelley, NorthStar EMS is the parent company of NorthStar Paramedic Services and Pickens County Ambulance Service. The company serves eight counties in West, Central, and Northwest Alabama including the Birmingham / Jefferson County area.
NorthStar EMS was the first major customer for Guardian’s new line of Gladiator van ambulances built using the Chevy Express Van with the 6.6L V8 Duramax diesel engine.
