2 dead, 2 EMTs hurt in Ky. ambulance collision

1 EMT airlifted, other ground transported to local hospitals; conditions unknown

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. — Two people were killed and two EMTs were injured after a small car crossed the center line for unknown reasons, and into the path of an ambulance.

The collision occurred on Mountain Parkway on Monday afternoon. Two people in a blue vehicle died immediately, officials told lex18.com. The car was basically run over by the larger ambulance, officials said.

Two employees from Allen’s Ambulance Services were also injured. One was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital and the other was transported by ground to Clark Regional Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

There were no patients on board the ambulance.
