MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — The Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration (AIMHI) proudly announces Rob Lawrence as its new President.
With decades of leadership in civilian and military EMS, Lawrence brings extensive experience to support AIMHI’s mission of advancing innovative, high-performance EMS models nationwide, the academy stated in a press release.
AIMHI is a consortium of high-performance EMS providers in the U.S. and Canada, dedicated to transforming mobile healthcare through data-driven solutions, policy advocacy, and community-focused care. Its members are recognized for delivering clinically excellent, cost-efficient services that extend beyond traditional emergency response.
“I am honored to assume the role of President of AIMHI, and wish to thank outgoing President, Chip Decker, CEO of the Richmond Ambulance Authority. Chip has been a mentor and friend for my entire US operational life and while I can’t fill his boots, I fully intend to follow in his footsteps.” Lawrence said. “I also look forward to emphasizing the ‘I’s in AIMHI – Promoting the international best practice US and Canadian colleagues have to offer as well as continuing to Integrate with other national associations to promote and advocate to the delivery of high-value EMS.”
With over 30 years of EMS leadership in both the U.S. and the U.K., Lawrence currently serves as Director of Strategic Implementation for PRO EMS and Prodigy EMS in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Previously, he was COO of the Richmond Ambulance Authority and, before moving to the U.S. in 2008, held leadership roles with the East of England Ambulance Service in the U.K.
Beyond his EMS leadership, Rob Lawrence is a military veteran and a graduate of the UK’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he specialized in prehospital and evacuation operations during his career in the British Army. He chairs the American Ambulance Association State Association Forum, a collaborative group sharing best practices among state ambulance associations, and serves as Executive Director of the California Ambulance Association. A respected speaker, broadcaster, and writer, Lawrence is a strong advocate in the EMS community, regularly contributing to industry publications like EMS1 and EMS World.
