MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — PWW Advisory Group, a leading national mobile healthcare consulting firm, today announced that Matt Zavadsky is joining the company full-time as vice president.

Zavadsky will play a crucial part in advancing the firm’s EMS and mobile healthcare consulting practice across the nation. His main responsibilities will include helping local communities, EMS agencies, fire departments, ambulance services, hospitals and other healthcare organizations enhance their EMS and mobile healthcare systems, the group stated in a press release.

“Matt has a wide range of operational, clinical, and financial experience in all aspects of EMS with all types of agencies in urban, suburban and rural settings across the country,” PWW Advisory Group Co-Founder Doug Wolfberg said.

With over 40 years in EMS and mobile healthcare, Zavadsky has held leadership roles in both private and government sectors, gaining a national reputation as a prominent thought leader in the field. At MedStar, he initially served as operations director, overseeing operations for a high-performance EMS system in Fort Worth and 14 surrounding cities. Later, as chief transformation officer, he focused on developing agency relations, strategic initiatives, healthcare integration and media/community relations.

“Matt has written the book on mobile integrated healthcare, playing a critical role in moving us from a transportation-only EMS system to re-thinking how out-of-hospital care for patients can be delivered in the most effective manner based on evolving data,” PWW Advisory Group Co-Founder Steve Wirth said.

Zavadsky has received several prestigious awards, including the “Public Communicator of the Year” from the Public Relations Society of America, Fort Worth Chapter in 2023, the “Excellence in EMS Leadership Award” from the Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration in 2022, and the “President’s Award for Leadership in EMS” from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians in 2018 and 2022.

“Steve, Doug and the entire team at PWW Advisory Group have been role models for me throughout my career, and I’m very excited to start this new adventure with a great team that is uniquely poised to help clients implement the transformational change needed to effectively serve their patients and their communities into the future,” Zavadsky said. “I am also very proud of the many accomplishments we have had at MedStar Mobile Healthcare during my 16 years with the organization. MedStar has led the way in improving the quality of healthcare for a diverse population and has become a model for the nation. I am so grateful for the experience and the opportunity to serve.”
