OMAHA, Neb. — A ZOLL sales representative, Robert Green, helped save a woman’s life using the equipment he carries to client appointments.
Green, a senior territory manager, was driving to his office after an early morning call to an Omaha hospital. While stopped at a light he saw a woman jump out of her car screaming for help, and then saw a man pulling an unresponsive woman from the car.
Green grabbed an R Series Monitor/Defibrillator and a set of electrodes from his car and rushed to assist the woman, who was already receiving CPR from a bystander. Green applied the electrodes to the 45-year-old woman’s chest, and the AED advised not to deliver a shock, so they continued CPR.
The ambulance crew soon arrived, started automated CPR with a ZOLL AutoPulse and transported the woman to the hospital, where she received an implantable defibrillator.
