BUELLTON, Calif. — Nearly a year after going into cardiac arrest, Thomas Montgomery had the opportunity to meet the paramedic that saved his life.
Montgomery said he was putting air in his tires when he fell ill last year; a bystander called 911.
Paramedic Eddie Camacho responded to the call and helped revive Montgomery.
“It’s kind of marked the worst day of my life and the best day of my life,” Montgomery told KEYT.
Montgomery was reunited with Camacho through a cardiac arrest survivor celebration.
Camacho said meeting patients after calls “means a lot to us.”
