BASTROP, Texas — Two paramedics responding to an emergency call were injured when their ambulance was struck by an SUV.
One was in serious condition and flown by a STAT-air helicopter to University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, according to the Statesman.
His passenger, another paramedic, was taken to the same hospital by ground ambulance. He was believed to be in stable condition.
No patients were in the ambulance at the time of the crash, and the driver of the SUV refused medical treatment.
