Ky. EMT ejected, patient killed in ambulance crash

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. — A patient is dead and an EMT is critically injured after an ambulance crash in Clark County on Mar. 3.

Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue said an ambulance was transporting a patient to the University of Kentucky Medical Center when it struck a guardrail and overturned, LEX18 reported.

WYMT reported that one EMT was ejected during the crash. The EMT driving the ambulance suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The injured EMT was identified as Alex Wells. A GoFundMe was created for Wells to assist her family while she is hospitalized 100 miles from home.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
