2 SC paramedics injured in ambulance crash

The collision left one person in serious condition, and two paramedics and the driver of the vehicle with minor injuries

LAKE CITY, S.C. — Two Florence County EMS paramedics were injured in a two-vehicle crash involving an ambulance on Sunday night.

A county ambulance was en route to a traffic call involving a motorcycle when it crashed with a vehicle in an intersection, WMBF News reports.

One person in the vehicle and the two paramedics had minor injuries. The fourth person, a passenger in the other car, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
