ENGLAND — A schoolboy was airlifted to hospital after falling from a tree and impaling his arm on a metal fence spike.
Paramedics were called to Nors Mill Park in Coventry at 4.15pm on Friday, and an air ambulance crew was scrambled to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “It is believed the boy fell from a tree impaling his right arm on the metal spike.
“The fire service cut the pole at its base, while ambulance crews gave the boy pain relief.
“With the pole still in his arm, the boy was flown to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
He was understood to be recovering from his injuries in hospital last night.
