BOSTON — City officials broke ground on a new state-of-the-art EMS station in the South Boston Waterfront, a project aimed at improving emergency response times and supporting frontline medical responders.

The fully electric facility will feature a gym, lounge, kitchenette, and outdoor green space, reflecting the city’s investment not only in infrastructure but also in the health and well-being of its EMS teams.

“This facility is an investment in our communities and the people who care for them,” said Mayor Michelle Wu, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve pay, benefits, and training opportunities for EMS personnel.
