BRADENTON, Fla. — A man was arrested after shooting his two stepsons, according to police.
WFLA reported that Joshua Rapolla allegedly shot Rufus Adams, 19, in the head and accidentally struck his other stepson, 12, in the lower body.
Police said Rapolla got into an argument with Adams and the pair took out handguns. Rapolla fired multiple shots and hit Adams in the head. In the recently released 911 calls, Rapolla can be heard desperately pleading for an ambulance after the incident.
“My son and my stepson got shot! My stepson’s shot in the head! And I don’t know, my stepson got shot in his [rear end],” Rapolla said.
Adams was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition; the 12-year-old is at the hospital and is stable.
