SAN ANTONIO — A stolen ambulance injured two people after plowing into two vehicles, according to police.
My San Antonio reported that the ambulance was apparently stolen from a medical call, but police did not know from where. When officers responded to the crash, they found two damaged sedans before finding the ambulance crashed in some bushes along the road.
Police said the ambulance “split” the two vehicles after it hit them from behind and sent crashing into a traffic light pole.
“It was not city personnel driving the ambulance,” police said. “No apprehensions were made.”
An elderly woman was transported to the hospital in stable condition, and a second woman was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
The incident is currently under investigation.
