BOOTHWYN, Pa. — The chief of the EMS division of Boothwyn Fire and EMS died after succumbing to injuries suffered in January, the Delaware County Department of EMS announced Tuesday.
Chief Michael Lynch was injured at the fire station earlier this year and died at a medical facility in Philadelphia on Monday as a result, the Delco Times reported.
Lynch was named EMS chief in 2014 and also served as secretary on the Delaware County Emergency Health Services Council.
A dignified transfer procession escorted Lynch’s remains to a local funeral home on Tuesday; funeral arrangements are pending.
