LOCKPORT, N.Y. — An EMT was awarded $109,000 in lost wages after the ambulance in which he was riding crashed with a minivan in 2013.
EMT Garry Bluhm sued Photofax, a private surveillance agency, whose van made a left turn into the path of the ambulance he was in. Bluhm was injured and unable to work, suffering from post-concussion syndrome, The Buffalo News reported.
Bluhm’s lawyer, Christopher O’Brien, said he disagreed with the decision not to award Bluhm anything for his medical expenses or the pain and suffering the incident caused him.
Bluhm was assisting an overdose patient in the back of the ambulance at the time of the crash.
