ASTANA, Kazakhstan — An air ambulance transporting a 2-month-old girl with leukemia to a hospital crashed killing all five people on board.
The body of a paramedic, a pilot, a doctor, the infant and her mother were recovered after the helicopter went missing on Monday, Agence France-Presse reported.
The baby had been hospitalized Monday, and after receiving a preliminary diagnosis of leukemia, she was being transported to a larger hospital.
Air traffic control lost traffic with the helicopter 15 minutes before it was due to land.
Snow and strong winds hampered the search for the helicopter, which was found two days after it went missing.
