BOSTON — A Boston EMS crew was credited for alerting fire crews and residents to a blaze on Sunday.
The Ambulance 22 crew spotted the fire while passing by the structure in their rig, according to the Boston Fire Department. EMTs called in the fire and then worked to bring several residents to safety.
“Quick action taken by EMTs Cohen and Mills, safely and rapidly evacuating residents after on-siting the fire. No injuries or transports from this incident,” Boston EMS tweeted.
Fire officials reported that strong winds caused the blaze to spread to a second residential building, displacing a total of 23 people.
