EL PASO, Texas — A 5-year-old girl was thrown from a sport utility vehicle in a rollover crash in which five others were also injured Tuesday.
The crash occurred about 11:15 a.m. in the 6800 block of Railroad Drive, said Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Moss.
Three ambulances took the six victims to University Medical Center, Moss said. They were taken from the crash site two at a time.
Moss said the cause of the accident was unknown.
Police blocked off the three westbound lanes of Railroad Drive for about an hour after the crash until a tow truck dragged the crushed SUV off the road about noon. Its left tire was blown out.
Police spokesman Darrel Petry said Tuesday afternoon that the car’s occupants were not critically injured.
Police are not releasing the names of the people involved in the crash, he said.
