NEW MILFORD, Conn. — New Milford volunteer responders will soon get reimbursed for the expense of gas too fires and emergency calls.
The town council approved $15,000 in tax rebates to defray the cost, the NewsTimes reports.
There are 41 eligible members of from both fire and EMS, and 100 responses must be met to qualify for the rebate. It will reimburse 75 cents of every $1 spent on gas in private vehicles to respond to calls.
